Look at all the fun junior and senior infants had on Sports Day!
We had great fun creating shadows on the whiteboard with our puppets and discovering how to make the shadows bigger and smaller!
I’m sure there was further exploring at home with bedside lamps and torches:)
Senior infants met the author, Gillian Perdue, in Dunshaughlin Library today. The children had great fun discussing the story, ‘Conor’s Cowboy Suit’, dancing like cowboys/cowgirls, participating in role play, colouring a scene from the story etc. We even got a signed copy of Ms Perdue’s book. Enjoy the pictures below.
Having inspected George Seurat’s technique in his painting A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte, we decided to complete our autumn trees, employing the same technique- Pointillism. The art shirts had their first outing of the school year, and we got busy with our cotton buds and paint. We’re looking forward to displaying our autumn trees in a small copse at the back of the classroom once the paint is all dry!
