Fun Run – Help Please! Calling all Marshalls

We are still a few Marshall’s short of what we need to host the annual Fun Run. Please note that the Fun Run cannot go ahead without Marshall’s. If you, or anyone you know, can Marshall at the event on Sunday 15th March, from 10am to 13pm, please let your class rep know. Please do your part to help make this another successful event for the School.

Ladies Night Success for Buddy Benches

The ladies night that was held on Friday 28th March was a great success, raising €2,048 for the School and a great night for all. Part of this money will now go towards the purchase of a Buddy Bench for the School yard. A Buddy Bench is an award winning evidence based school child-led positive mental well-being programmes that empower children and young people. Check out https://www.buddybench.ie/.

Thanks to all the parents who helped make it a great success and for finding all the wonderful sponsorship prizes for the raffle. Hopefully this will just be the first Lismullen Ladies Night of many.

World Book Day

The school will celebrate World Book Day this week on Thursday 5th March. The children can dress up as their favorite literary character should they wish to (not compulsory). Please note, some classes are dressing up on Friday 6th March, please check class whats-app group or ask your teacher for the correct day, alternatively send dress up clothes in the bags on both days, if you are not sure.

Road Safety 30th January 2010

General Election Candidates, Sharon Keogan, Thomas Byrne and Sean McCabe along with Meath County Council Road and Safety Officer, Mick Finnegan, will be at the school today (30th January 2010) from 2.30 to highlight the danger our children and parents face each day at drop off and pick up times. With the election coming up, we would love to see as many parents as possible there to share their concerns and highlight the need for a new school.
