In S.E.S.E. this week 2nd Class took a close look at the food that we grow. We saw lots of photos of Ms. Flanagan harvesting all kinds of vegetables from her Mam & Dad’s vegetable garden. We used our senses to examine the vegetables more closely through sight, smell, touch & taste. We started the week by tasting tomatoes. The next day we boiled some beetroot & tasted that. We also pickled some more beetroot and saved it for tasting later in the week. Well done to the many children who had a taste 🙂
