School holidays seem strange this year after the few months we’ve had. We sincerely thank you for your support in educating the children through these difficult times. We are now working to get the school and classes ready for an “anticipated” full return to school come Thursday 27th August.
Lots of children have missed out on some of the most enjoyable parts of school life like Sports Day, Graduation, the Sacraments etc. but the most important thing is that we’ve all come out the far side healthy.
Confirmation is going ahead on Saturday 19th September. Communion is a logistical nightmare for Fr. Cahill as capacity in the church in Johnstown is limited. He’s working on it and he’ll be in touch.
We’re happy to have a 6th class graduation ceremony here in school at a date in the future. We’ll be in touch to see what suits best.
We would like to wish you and the children of Lismullen National School a wonderful and sunny summer holiday.
If you have young children at home not yet enrolled in the school please contact Bernie in the office for an application form. This will help us greatly when looking at numbers for the coming school years.
Online payments are up and running and many of you have registered on www.databizsolutions.ie. All you need to register is your email address and you will be sent a password.
We have three teachers on career breaks for the coming year. They are Pamela Downey, Fiona Finnegan, and Áine Finnegan.
Aoife O’Brien is leaving us but Linda Daly is returning to work with Darina Buchanan in Special Education.
Thank you for your co-operation and participation in all school activities both educational and extra-curricular and we look forward to working together with you in 2020/2021.
