The boys and girls from Lismullen NS had a very special Christmas visit today from the big man himself, Santa!!!
There was lots of excitement when the students got to the School this morning to see that Santa had set up a grotto in the playground to welcome all the boys and girls and have a socially distanced chat with the students in their pods. He also had a small gift of a selection box for each of the students to enjoy over Christmas.
Thank you Santa for coming to visit Lismullen NS and best of luck getting to all the boys and girls on Christmas Eve night, we hope the weather is good for you and the winds are strong!… READ MORE
Picture below featuring Michael Neylon, representing St. Vincent de Paul, Navan, receiving a cheque for €4,800.00 from the Principal of Lismullen National School, Jerry O’Donoghue. Also Orla Maguire, Chairperson of Lismullen National School Parents’ Association. The Parents Association organised all the prizes for the draw ensuring all the proceeds went to the Vincent de Paul.

The children looked at Google Earth and discovered the distance between their school and the Porcupine Bank (over 450km), the reef explored by scientists on the research vessel the Celtic Explorer. They watched a short video of the ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) that was lowered on to the Bank.… READ MORE

However, due to the cancellation of the FunRun earlier this March, we have many lovely gifted and sponsored prizes left over. The PA have used these to create gorgeous Hampers for a Christmas Raffle to be held on Wednesday 16th December along with a number of other smaller prizes too. ALL the proceeds from the Christmas Raffle will go directly to the local branch of St.… READ MORE
