The Parents’ Association is the structure through which parents in a school can work together for the best possible education for their children.  The PA works with the Principal, Staff and the Board of Management to build effective partnership between the home & school.

The PA has played an active role in supporting the school over the last decade, organising a fantastic calendar of events to raise funds for our school.  This is necessary as funding has increasingly become a concern for schools.

Our aim is to fund the ‘extras’ that enable our children to have the very best opportunities and education possible at the School.

In recent years some of our major achievements have been:

  • Subsidised swimming for classes 1st-6th in order to make it more affordable for families
  • Christmas Panto for Junior/Senior Infants
  • Historical Trips
  • Afterschool language classes for 5th & 6th
  • New books and Sports Equipment
  • New Interactive White Boards where required

The PA is not only about fundraising though.  The Book Rental Scheme & the Post Office Saving Scheme are just two of the many ongoing activities held within the school every year.  Other worthwhile events such as Grandparents Day & Book Swap days are also organised by the parents involved.

The Parents Association is open to all parents/guardians of children attending Lismullen N.S.  Our aim is to be as inclusive and representative as possible and we welcome any suggestions or ideas you might have.
